I need an explanation on how to identify different measurements between; ratio scale, interval scale, ordinal scale, and nominal scale. I do understand what they are in terms of definitions and the differences, but in marketing questions I have a hard time recognising what is what. For example with the below. As much as I know what the different measurements mean I cannot identify them.

  1. Indicate the measurement level (nominal, ordinal, interval or ratio) of the following variables: a) Years passed since event X b) Music preference c) Satisfaction measured on a 5-point Likert-scale d) Highest form of completed education e) Yearly profits
