I need assistance in filling out the table below. I know the formula for efficiency, but I'm stuck with MA. I would appreciate any help. :

Simple Machines

Objective - To determine mechanical advantage and efficiency for different types of simplemachines.

Equipment - Meter stick, meter stick clamps, pivot, ring stand, inclined plane, spring scale, block, old textbooks, and masses.

Procedure Part 1 - Determine the mechanical advantage and efficiency of a lever. Set up the meter stick leverand pivot on top of the textbook as shown in the diagram for this part. Hang 500 g of mass on the output arm side of the lever and lower it to the table. Hook up the spring scale to the other clamp on the input arm and pull down on the spring scale to lift the mass at a slow and steadyspeed. Record the reading on the scale in the table. Next, adjust the clamps so they line up on the meter stick to match the values of P1, f, and P2and repeat the experiment.

Date Table 1

P1 (cm)f (cm)P2 (cm)di (cm)do (cm)IMASpring Scale (g)MAEfficiency
10509040600.7100
20509030700.42400
30509020800.25600
40509010900.11800

Analysis Part 1 - First, determine the input and output distances from the values of P1, f, and P2and use them to calculate the ideal mechanical advantage. Next, use the scale reading and the 500 g mass to make a calculation of the mechanical advantage of the lever. Finally, calculate the efficiency of the lever.
