Accountability in leadership shows leading by example and embracing ethical leadership. Accountability is not about pointing fingers but about fostering a supportive work environment where mistakes happen and we learn from those mistakes. The strategy of balancing rewards and consequences addresses performance issues but with constructive guidance. This helps employees to have a clear understanding of their value and input and not with a heavy hand (Nevins, 2024)
