I need help answering a fellow classmate's discussion board

Without a shadow of a doubt, there is something wrong with this picture. Communication is critical when dealing with the public. It does not matter what an induvial has done. The judge has already handed down their sentencing. Therefore, why continue to scorn a person. Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. In these positions listed above, you are always supposed to exemplify professionalism; police officers protect and serve, corrections officers care, custody and control, and probation officers support and restore communities. I was always taught working as a correctional officer for the department of corrections. It is always fair to the individual where the issue is to inform them that there is an issue that needs to be addressed; however, after doing so. Then I would follow the chain of command in filing my report of this situation. I must do, therefore, if I see this and allow it to continue. I am just as guilty as the one who committed the unethical offense.

When working in these positions as a public service worker. We must remind ourselves that one wrong decision could lead to you being indicted on federal charges and ruin your reputation.
