About Grocer 4 Good Ability Development Program: Incorporated in July of 2019, "Grocer 4 Good" opened its social enterprise in February of 2020 and braced the lockdown and economic struggles of a start-up during the pandemic. The organization received Charitable Status in January of 2021 and maintains a working Board of Directors. We are located in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario and operate our storefront at 147 Gore Street. MISSION: Grocer 4 Good Ability Develo pment Program will provide employment opportunities for those persons with an Autism Spectrum Disorder, other intellectual disability or whom have been chronically underemployed www.g4g.ca @grocer4goodstore RFP Project Timeline Details RFP Published: April 1, 2023 Responses Due: April 24, 2023 Finalists Selected & Contacted: May 5, 2023 Project End: December 1, 2023 Purpose of the Business Planning Consultation Grocer 4 Good Ability Development Program wants to leverage its potential in collective impact to our stakeholders by examining and addressing the business environment that impacts sus ability and growth. A formal approach to business development, donor potential, revenue streams and streamlining processes is needed for our organization while it is still in its early stages. It will focus on both the positive impact that the organization has had on the community, especially among staff and volunteers, and improved quality of life for those facing barriers and the positive impact to the broader community (in terms of both patrons, suppliers and partners). Scope of Services Requested 1. Executive Summary: This will outline our organization, including the mission statement, leadership, employees, operations, and location. 2. Products and Services: will outline its products and services. This outline should include (where applicable): pricing, product lifespan, benefits to the customer, responding to needs. 3. Marketing Strategy and Analysis: As for market strategy, this section will describe how the organization will acquire, keep and grow its client base (both from those purchasing at the Grocer 4 Good store as well as the donor base). Identify key gaps in potential goods and services Examine day to day operations and propose efficiencies and streamline work processes. Survey donors, examine past fundraising initiatives and draft fundraising plan (to include donor letter, impact statements) Create a sustainability plan beyond five years. Scope of Professional Services Being Requested Services being sought include, but are not limited to: 1. Planning and designing program evaluation strategies, methodology and tools. 2. Interviews, focus groups, surveys and other inquiry-based approaches are developed and implemented with Inspire program participants, graduates, program delivery staff and partner institutions. 3. Examine existing policies and practices and identify any gaps. 4. Data analysis and interpretation of interviews, focus groups and surveys 5. Development of program evaluation report and executive summary. 6. Combine existing internal evaluation data and new data collected throughout this process to analyze and complete a final impact evaluation report, indicating findings and recommendations. 7. Development of Four impact stories which can be shared through a variety of formats. 8. Work with the Board of Directors and Senior Staff to support alll project deliverables. Review of other similar Social Enterprises in the North to provide a comparable analysis 5. Final evaluation report by December 1, 2023 that incorporates quantitative and qualitative evidence, including impact stories. The report must answer each evaluation outcomes and should be precise, containing all of the following components: 6. Cover page 7. Table of contents 8. Introduction and review of existing data 9. Methods 10. Results (overall results, effectiveness, efficiency, sustainability, impact - by territory and aggregated, and including impact stories) 11. Discussion (summary of overall outcomes and impacts of the Grocer 4 Good programs, lessons learned, limitations of the evaluation and recommendations for future evaluation) 12. Executive summary outlining the key purpose of the evaluation, main points of analysis, key findings, conclusions and recommendations 13. Copy of the report in the format of a usable presentation to be used for external facing meetings. 14. Impact stories, profiling either ce nts/partners or areas of impact. Timeline (For Both Busines lopmental Evaluation Consultant) The projects will take place between June 2023 and October 2023. A first draft of each specific project should be submitted by October 30, 2023, and a final report and executive summary submitted by November 25, 2023. Budget Details Our budget for the developmental evaluation is $15,000.00 (inclusive of HST and any travel/accommodations/meals), budget for business planning is $30,000.00.(same inclusions) While we, of course, prefer the most cost-effective solutions, all proposals that fall reasonable within this range will be considered and weighed based on their merits.
