Your slides must include:

Introduction

  1. a. Explain and cite your state's electronic courtroom procedures. These may be found in your state's Court Rules or in a specific court's government website.
  2. Explain how to admit [submit] documents and exhibits through an electronic courtroom in your state.
  3. Equipment -
    1. Name the court clerk's office in your area where you would file your claim, include the address and phone number
    2. Name the type of equipment you will use and necessary connection requirements
    3. Name the type of equipment you will need to borrow from others or from the court (screen, camera...)
  4. Graphics programs - For this project, you are using PowerPoint but what would you use at a real trial? (You may select PowerPoint or any other graphics program(s) you prefer.)Support your answer utilizing your textbook and other logic.
  5. Fact summary - Use facts from your Week 2: Witness Exercise and Week 5: Interrogatories assignment.
  6. Witness list - Include the witness names and the evidence you wish to obtain from each witness. State the specific facts they support, for example, "Mr. X will testify that the light was red." If you do not know a witness's name, invent a name.
  7. Documentary evidence - List all documents you would obtain for trial and who has possession of them, for example, Savings Account Statement - Records Custodian, First Bank of America.
  8. Pretrial Memorandum - Include the pretrial memo from your Week 7: Trial Documents assignment. You may revise your Week 7 submission as necessary.
  9. Exhibits - Create exhibits to support your case. If you are unable to create a necessary exhibit due to the limitations of PowerPoint, describe the exhibit in detail instead.
  10. Motion for Summary Judgment Argument - For this part of the assignment, do not write a motion. Instead, write the argument portion of a Motion for Summary Judgment. Explain why your case deserves summary judgment. See page 444 of your textbook for a short explanation of this motion. Support your argument with witness statements (you may quote from the interrogatory answers), physical evidence, and documentary evidence.
