i need help with straight line depreciation. I built a $10$ year dcf model. I was given initial investment $=9,230,000$ depreciation period $($all capex$)=2,000,000$ and Depreciation period$=5$yrs $.......$ i got $7,230,000$ for the amount that needs to be depreciated through the straight line method but dont understand if i have to use the $10$ year lifespan of the project or the depreciation period and how that would look?
