Describe how the activity you pursued will increase your productivity as a worker. Chat . Is there another activity that could also provide you with similar increases to your human capital. . Your post should be 200-300 words long . Reply to the posts of at least two classmates 75-100 words. Example: When I was young I took classes to learn how to work in TV and film. These courses included studio production courses, sound design, editing, etc. All of this added to my human capital and gave me skills that I could use on the job. Before taking these classes I did not know the names of the equipment or how to operate them. After the courses I knew how to run a camera, set lights, edit, and do all types of things that would have made me a better worker had I gone into the film industry. These classes did cost money, but since it was a community college I was not paying too much. Of course since there was also an opportunity cost. All that time I spent taking classes about media production was time I could not also be studying economics. I ended up not working in television, film, or radio so that time took away from my ability to pursue other things. I could have learned similar things on my own by buying books or watching videos to try and teach myself about cinematography. Alternatively, I could have tried to gain experience in the field by taking an entry level position with a production company and hoping to learn on the job. All of the above options would have increased my productivity as a worker in the film industry and made me a more valuable member of the crew. Search entries or author Unread
