Do some research on DRAM Shop statutes. Then discuss if bar owners/bartenders should be held liable for harm caused by a patron of the establishment. Consider that liability by the owner/bartender is still must be proved. Given consideration to the public policy consideration that persons harmed should be compensated. Also weigh the importance of insurance coverage for such liability.
