I need help with writing for a project.

| Space programs| Outline

My comments:

The original objective of the U.S. space program was to defeat the Soviet Union in the arms race. Scientists were hired from all over the world, but especially from Germany. The leading scientist in rocket technology at NASA was Wernher von Braun, an ex-Nazi physicist and aerospace engineer.

After WWII, the main concern of the United States was to stop the spread of communism and their main enemy became the USSR. The Soviet Union also hired scientists from Germany to start their own space program.

So both space programs were not find more about the cosmos per se, but using science as a medium to build technology for long range espionage and high destruction weapons.

Start your paper with a brief (one page) historical background of the first space projects of the U.S. and the U.S.S.R.

Then, provide a timeline with the space projects on both programs. Make a table. Tables allow you to summarize information without having ot. For instance:

Table 1. Main space projects (1956-2021)

Etc.

There are new programs and new countries involved in international space stations, for instance. It is up to you if you want to add them in the table.

Your job for the next week is to look for the goals of each one of these projects. Don't be nave, powerful nations are not looking for peaceful space exploration. You are not describing Star Trek missions, but real programs in a real world. Nowadays, some private corporations (SpaceX, Virgin Galactic, Blue Origin, etc.) are developing their own space projects. You can include them in a separate table and explain what their goals are (asides making money, of course).
