I need one good comment of what I did correctly on my paper

This company has made a few assumptions in its projection of launching a new pet food product line.The company seems to believe that since they have a highly regarded reputation that their reputation would adhere to the new pet food product line as well.I feel that associating pet foods with the line of human food could be detrimental to the company.Consumers may get a "bad taste" thinking about the idea of the possibility of mixing the two separate products, especially when one is made out of vermin and pest.This could lead to weakening the credibility of the original brand.

Another assumption this company has made is thinking that their channel partners would be supportive of the new product line.These partners many want nothing to do with this product as they could hurt their own reputations by engaging with these products.Pet food has different standards than those of human food.Using vermin in their products could make that feeling even worse.

The new-to-the-world feature of using wild animals to make their products would put this company into the position of entering a new market.Since there are no pet foods on the market like this, it could be extremely hard to set up a solid position in the market.The consumers could look down on products made with wild animals.This would result in the consumer to not be willing to buy the pet food products.

Assuming the pet owners will wildly receive the new pet food is a terrible mistake.People tend to think of their pets as family members, therefore the thought of feeding their cats mice, rats, crows, and pigeons would not sit too well with them.Expecting the owners to say, "Finally! A company that knows what my cat wants to eat!" is not what this company wants to do.They do not know what the cats will eat as they have not even done any testing to see if they would eat it.Pet owners are constantly looking for better quality food for their pets and since most people think of rodents as disgusting and disease-ridden, they would not want to feed it to their pets.

Based on the 4Ps model of marketing, I have some questions about their marketing strategy for the pre-launch of this pet food product line.

Product:

Are we selling what people want?

Is there a need for this product in the pet food industry?

How will the customer perceive this pet food?

Price:

How much will this new product cost the company to produce?

How much would the customer be willing to pay for these pet foods?

How much will the company profit from the sales of the new product line?

Promotion:

How will the company advertise this product?

Are there any partner possibilities?

Place:

Where would the product be available for purchase?

Primarily, what this company should do is conduct surveys of the pet owners to see if they would even consider feeding their animals this type of pet food.Based on the results from the surveys, the company could get a better understanding of if the new pet food product line would be a good venture.Since the company used the top-down method of marketing, it would benefit from the input of the consumer.
