Suppose a company selects from a pool of applicants that is 30% male, and 70% female. Further suppose each applicant is independent, and these probabilities do not change over time.

(a) What is the probability that out of 8 new employees, they hire at least 2 males?

(b) What is the probability that out of 8 new employees, there are an equal number of men and women?

(c) How many male and female applicants should they expect to hire from 8 employees?

(d) What is the probability that out of 8 new employees, they hire less than the average number of expected male applicants?
