This assignment examines three documentation tools: data flow diagrams, flowcharts, and process maps.

Context DFD should be placed in MS Word, PowerPoint or other diagramming software. Neatly hand-written zero level DFD and systems flowcharts are acceptable.

• Use the following narrative to meet requirements (a), (b), and (c).

Cy Delicious Pizza installs a system to record orders for pizza, chicken wings, and bread sticks. When regular customers call Cy Delicious Pizza on the phone, their phone number goes automatically into the pizza order system. The system accesses the master customer file stored on magnetic disk to display the name, address, and last order date associated with the phone on the screen. If the phone number is not in the system, the order clerk will be notified and asks the customer to verify the phone number. Once the order is taken by the order clerk, the total, including tax and delivery, is calculated and placed in the order pending file. Then the cook views the order pending file to prepare the pizza. When the pizza is finished, the order cook records the pizza as finished in the order system and the system generates a receipt using information from both the customer master file and order pending file to create a receipt file. Drivers view the delivery instructions from the receipt file and then provide customers with a copy of the receipt. The order system generates Weekly Total Ordered Report based on the order pending file which is forwarded to Cy Delicious Pizza owner, Super Cy.
