You will be evaluated based on how well you apply the material that we have covered and the quality of your interpretation of the analyses. This case involves your individual effort. You have been assigned two of the companies. You are to perform the following on those two companies, focusing on the scal years ending in 2018: 1. 7. After an initial review of the nancial statements, list ve specic elements of those statements that you think are important to the success of the company and briey explain why each of those is importantl Calculate return on assets (ROA) for each company and decompose ROA into protability and productivity measures (Modules 1 and 4). Calculate RNOA and decompose into net operating prot margin and operating asset turnover (Module 4). Describe inventory valuation and depreciation methods for the two companies and compare methods between the two companies (Module 6). Are there any substantial differences that should be adjusted for when comparing performance for the two companies? Forecast income statements for the two companies for the next two years.
