I need to design a superheater that convert saturated steam into superheated steam from 200 degrees Celsius to 500 degrees Celsius. So far I have calculated Q using q = mdeltah. I'm not sure how to start my thermal design, I have decided to design my superheater as a fired heater, the first thing I need to do is to combust a fuel (I have chosen ch4) to allow heat transfer, however I am not sure how to calculate the mass balance in this combustor to produce enough gas to raise allow this temperatures raise.
