I need to, Explain the synergy between thoughts and behaviors I spoke about in my example. below is the example.
Here is the example I gave: We've all heard the phrase "monkey see, monkey do" I feel like every day in my house there is behavior modeling. I have twins who are three years of age, I also have a six-year-old. My children love to learn, and they love to imitate behaviors. They are in that phase of life where observing and learning what mom and dad do and say help influence the way they behave. When I teach my children positive reinforcement, I notice they pick up on the specific words and actions I use such as showing their siblings love and compassion. When I use positive reinforcement, I hear them encourage each other in the same way I have done or said in past instances. If I use any negative actions or tones when I am frustrated or flustered, they pick up on that behavior strongly as well. It puts a negative energy on them, and they seem to remember my frustration even if it is me being flustered over chores needing finished. I catch them copying my behaviors and tones sometimes such as using an extended breath when frustrated or acting annoyed after watching me be annoyed. With all this being said, actions and words are powerful and being a parent, you really need to make sure to be the best example even if you are overwhelmed, because now while they are young is so crucial and they remember words so quickly and easily.
