ANNUAL REPORT ANALYSIS Term Project AD 630- Fall, 2013 This is an assignment to allow you to pick any public company which piques your interest. The only requirement is that the company must have inventories and accounts receivable on its balance sheet. You may obtain annual reports from most companies on line. Most of the ratios can be obtained online as well, however if any of the ratios do not apply, write in N/A next to the items below. You may use this word doc to complete the requirements, or use your own word or excel documents. Note- Much of the information you need is available on the web site of the company you choose, therefore your analysis of the results is more important than the actual ratios or numbers you use. Attached are the financial statements and year-end summary from the 201_ Annual Report of _____________________ _________. Liquidity: 1. Calculate the company's working capital, current ratio, and acid-test ratio at [balance sheet dates]. 2. Based on the results of your analysis above, assess the company's overall liquidity position. Explain which ratios indicate particular strengths and/or weaknesses. Assume the following industry averages: Working capital = varies in proportion to firm size; Current ratio = 2.0; Acid-test ratio = 1.6. 3.
