I read the article that you shared about Globotics. I thought it was great for this weeks topic. Globalization is defined by National Geographic as "term used to describe the increasing connectedness and interdependence of world cultures and economies." There is a huge impact that management information systems play in Globalization. We are in 2024 where almost the entire world has access to the internet and different types of technology. We as humans are much more technologically advanced than we were 20 years ago. The article you shared explained how this is a great achievement but also one that may hurt many people. I agree with that statement. Think of the fact that we used to not be able to communicate with anyone tech wise outside of our country, Yet now many customer service numbers for companies are direct lines to others performing those jobs for large US based companies. The article Richard Baldwin says how automation and globalization have been around for a very long time, yet "Globotics" is basically one of the effects of these two things colliding together.
