) I recently recorded changes in participants' self-recorded Christmas cheer and am trying to decide how to analyze my data. I have 4 groups to compare: a control group that watched, read, or listened to non-Christmas media (a control group), a group that read a Christmas story, a group that watched a Christmas movie, and a group that listened to Christmas music.

a) Should I compare the means of my groups using independent samples t tests or an ANOVA? Why or why not?

b) If I decide to conduct pairwise comparisons, is there any A Priori comparisons that make sense, or will I have to conduct Post hoc tests? Explain your answer.
