"I think we have a problem here," Maria said to her grandmother. Her grandmother gave her a look as if to say she didn't need any more problems just now.

They were setting up the kindergarten room where Maria's younger brother Jason went to class. It was a family day celebration and her grandmother wanted to surprise the kids with a healthy fruit drink as part of their snacks that day.

It was just before school was supposed to start. Maria was in a hurry to get to her own classroom on time, and her grandmother needed to do some immediate household chores. Other parents had dropped off juice containers, cookies, plates, and cups, and then rushed off.

"What's wrong?" her grandmother asked.

"Well, there are 20 kids in class, and we have 6 containers of juice with 1000mL per container. Then we have fifteen 300mL cups and five 400 mL cups," Maria said. "I guess we'll just have to give some of them more juice than others."

"For kindergarteners, if everything aren't exactly the same, there will be trouble," her grandmother said.

"I have an idea," Maria said.

"I'm all ears," her grandmother replied
