I thinkit would be great to have the electronic simulators incorporated into the electronic health records as long as it is cost effective. You have to take into consideration all of the training that would need to take place with the staff that would be using it as well as just having all of the staff familiar with itin case they are needed in anysituation that may arise. I also think that having live simulation along with the electronic sims is a great way to get the staff comfortable with using incorporating the material in a live situation. Some may be more comfortable than others when it comes to actually using it on a live person. We use a sims patient in nursing school and it has helped me a lot with getting comfortable with me reading b/p, temps and respirations, auscultating, and evenpalpating .So this is actually a very smart investment when it comes to healthcare and staff using the system with the right training and IT being available 24/7 incase an issue was to arise with the system.
