Question: I want a script an python or java . to be able to read a certain amount of lines in a text file ....

I want a script an python or java . to be able to read a certain amount of lines in a text file . And stop when it reaches a certain line.

For example in the text in the bottom it should start copying the lines that is bolded with the number 2.1.1 Stakeholder Management & Engagement and stop just right before 2.1.2 , that part is not bolded. So i want a script either in java or python that can check for 2.1.1 and copy everything until it reaches 2.1.2 . This program will be used for 30 other files so it should not be copied by line numbers because every file is different . I want a program that can recognize the string or number "2.1.1" and copy everything until it reaches the next number for example in this one is 2.1.2. I WANT IT TO COPY MULTIPLE SECTIONS OF THIS TEXT FILE , THE BOLDED SECTIONS . I will need to take multiple sections from a bigger text file . Not just two sections.

the following is text that i will be reading from :

Executive Sponsor: Svetlana Bronshteyn (previously Matt Lyon) Business Sponsor: Svetlana Bronshteyn IT Sponsor (i.e. the IT AE): Alan Bub Lessons Learned Team: * Marsha Legassey (Project Manager-IT) * Jessica Nguyen (Project Manager-BU) Project Manager(s): Marsha Legassey (IT PM); Jessica Nguyen (BU PM)

2. Lessons Learned 2.1 Key Learnings and Recommendations per Key Performance Indicators

2.1.1 Stakeholder Management & Engagement Stakeholder Management & Engagement What worked well? What were the resulting benefits? Throughout the formulation of Business Requirements and Functional Design, which took place over several months, the Business Sponsor was not only in attendance during weeks of JAD sessions, but was engaged and also ensured Subject Matter Experts from other business units were in attendance and engaged. The BRD review alone took place within a 3 day session with all SMEs in the room. This was very helpful to ensure designs discussed remained complementary to the intent of the Business and also to be able to obtain prompt decisions to be able to move forward. To ensure Executive Leadership engagement, leading up to the Day 1 implementation the Business Sponsor and Business PM joined staff meetings 2-3 times (every couple of months) to provide updates. This worked well in being able to get time with most of the Leadership Team together rather than attempting separate meetings that are oftentimes a struggle to schedule so would not have been able to repeatedly remind the group of the upcoming activities. Additionally, Business and IT collaborated to discuss any issues/risks/constraints with IT Leadership whenever they arose. The PMs (IT and Business) were in close contact with their respective leadership teams (and cross functionally) throughout the project life cycle. What could have been improved? What were the resulting impacts? While stakeholders outside of the core group received regular communication, they may not have been engaged enough to register the impact upon roll out. This perhaps contributed to some last minute concern from select stakeholders prior to Day 1 Implementation. Future Recommendations/ Lessons Learned Communicate with Stakeholders in a variety of ways and repeatedly, as it is easy for standard communication to get discarded and oftentimes the first communication does not register with the audience. Work to ensure a broader audience at regular monthly Steering Cmte meetings. 2.1.2 Scope Management & Change Management Scope Management & Change Management What worked well?

2.2.5 Testing Phase

What were the resulting benefits?

The initial testing was done during the quick start process. The resulting benefits were that the testing was done in a controlled environment within both the test and production environments. This allowed for efficient testing with many experts available to validate or identify needed changes based on testing results.

What could have been improved?

What were the resulting impacts?

Testing will continue to occur after the project officially closed due to a change request for file formatting. The resulting impact is that more time is required of the Compliance team.
