I need help answering my classmate's discussion board question.

Being that I am a US citizen, I do not have much knowledge about European laws regarding bribery. In any country bribery is not usually allowed but having additional information regarding the laws in Europe would be beneficial. As the government had recently launched an initiative to reduce corruption, I need to know the details regarding the controls put forward by the government and how far those controls are effective. I would analyze my company's policy on bribery before making the decision to tip as this could potentially affect my future at my job. If the company is not against paying a small tip, I would like to have them reconsider as the government recently launched a new law against this corruption and we should find an alternate way to getting our shipment.
