I was intrigued by Jane Goodall and her book, "Seeds of Hope: Wisdom and Wonder". Jane Goodall, who is a primatologist, authored a book on the plant world. Goodall's book unfortunately failed to cite the sources as to which she borrowed the passages from. The book was written with another writer, Gail Hudson. Hudson's long list of titles are remarkable. Both of the authors' work imply they are well recognized in their profession. Although Goodall has apologized, Hudson did not comment.

The reason I was intrigued is because Goodall is good writer, but she wrote the entire book on somebody else's research. She goes to claim, "I have spent a lifetime loving plants, even though I have never studied them as a scientist". Goodall writes on her personal stories on the love of plants but when it comes to the plant's history, she writes using the other sources' research. They found many replicated quotes almost word for word on other web sites to include Wikipedia. The book does provide gratitude but doesn't contain end notes or source references.

When it comes to the outcome of Goodall's book, other authors and professors view the pla giarism differently. One author says it's hard to judge when Goodall did not claim the literature as to be her own. One professor says if this would have happened to a college student, the student would have been punished and possible expelled.

**The Melania Trump vs. Michell Obama speech. In 2016 Melania was accused of pla giarism for a speech she made at the Republican National Convention. Melania's speech talks about the values of working hard for what you want in life, that your work is your bond and to treat people with dignity and respect. Former First Lady Michelle Obama also shared the same values in a very similar way on her 2008 speech.
