I was previously given the answer 5 for the average value but it was incorrect. whenever I get an incorrect answer the homework website gives me the feedback: To calculate the average value, find the sum of the y-values and divide by the width of the interval. That is, evaluate the integral from a to b of f(x) with respect to x and divide the result by the width of the interval to find the function value, y. --i really would appreciate help and a step by step process. I'm not really sure how to find the y values it's asking for. I am assuming the width of the interval is: 2-0/700 , but I'm not sure if that's right either. thanks again for your help as I truly value it.
