I wasn't surprised with how I answered the assessment I am very much a person who is hands on and has to see the problem before acting. I did find this portion interesting though"They are attracted to new challenges and experiences, and to carrying out plans. They commonly act on 'gut' instinct rather than logical analysis". I think I do act on gut instinct but I didn't really think I did that much. But overall I wasn't surprised with my responses.
I jobs the I found most interesting were :Accountants and auditors, Financial Analysis, and Human resource Specialists. To become an Accountant you must have a bachelor's in accounting or a related field and a completed a certification for a specific field of accounting. I think I would enjoy being a accountant they work with numbers and Suggest ways to reduce costs, enhance revenues, and improve profits. I think I would enjoy it and it would interesting. I think that this would work well with the assessment findings and I would do well. To become a Financial Analyst you must have a bachelor's in some common field of business. Financial analysts recommend individual investments and collections of investments, known as portfolios and evaluate current and historical financial data. Looking into this I don't think I would like being in this field, it is similar to accounting but more hands on. Looking at my assessment I think it would aline but I just don't think I would like doing this. In Human resource Specialist, you must have a bachelor's in business communications and business. They do a lot of consult with employers to identify hiring needs, and conducting interviews. I think I would be interested in this looking at the job specifications I think my self assessment findings would aline.
My thought process has changed after reading the text, in the text I found that HR is a very big part of job findings. I thought this part" Human resource planning starts with job analysis and then focuses on forecasting the organizations future need for employees, forecasting the availability of employees both within and outside the organization" shows how human resource really impacts the hiring and forecasting of when the company is in need of more employees. In the text I also found "Training and development enable employees to perform their present jobs effectively and to prepare for future jobs". I thought is part of the text was important as well, as it shows how training after hiring for HR is just as important. I found that this part of the text show how important training is as well "Two important new challenges in the workplace include the management of knowledge workers and issues associated with the use of contingent and temporary workers."
