I would llike to know the accuracy of the calculations and if the above paper has been verifyied by an expert. if yes i have couple of questions regarding:
Question 1A -( Using a range of WACC of 8% to 10% and an EBITDA multiple of 9 to 11 times to calculate the terminal value, please establish a valuation range (EV) for ARAG. Enter the min value with the format: "000.0")
In conducting a DCF analysis, the "latest" in my opinion pertains to the most recent past financials and serves as a foundational benchmark for future cash flow projections. Therefore, unless explicitly representing a Year 0 cash flow, the "latest" financials are excluded from the NPV computation. As per the above case study i noticed the UFCF column 'latest' has been discounted and included in the calculations although the instructions do not state it.
(Question 2- Based on the mid-point (average value) of your valuation range, please derive the market value of equity for ARAG without decimal e.g."123") As per my understanding when i am asked to find a value based on the "mid-point of my valuation range," it generally means i should consider the highest and lowest values in your range and calculate the average of these two to represent a central estimate. The entire range of values from my data table is used to determine this minimum and maximum but the midpoint is specifically the average of these two extremes.
Thak you for your feedback.
