I would then like you to think about a farmer who grows corn or some other staple crop. This farmer needs to bring his crop to market and get people to buy his corn. Using this farmer analogy to provide context, please tell me how the four p's of marketing would manifest through the farming cycle. In other words, where are the 4p's of marketing in the corn's journey from seed to market and ultimate purchase? (hint: obviously, the product is the corn, but could the farmer add on anything else, maybe heightened levels of service to make his corn stick out from his competitors, where would the promotional elements come into play, how about the physical movement)
Use your imagination for this, I think a good answer for this second task is to tell a story of how corn is grown, harvested, delivered to market, and sold to the buyer. I'm not looking for any methods of promotions, transportation, etc. just your recognition of how all of those things, be it a train, truck, wagon, is actually part of the marketing process.
