The finishing part of the production system is shown below. Burnishing 1 Products A & B Product A Assembly Product B Products A&B Packaging Burnishing 2 Spray Painter Figure 1 Hot Dryer The Company operates 2 shifts/day, 5 days per week for 50 weeks/year. Data collected from the operations during 2016 and 2017 are shown below. The Assembly, Painting, and Dryer operators are paid $20/hr. All other operators are paid $15/hr. Machine downtime cost is about $30 per hour. Assume one operator per machine.
