Ideas Inc. develops new products. Recently Ideas created a product they call Pill Pack, a new pill dispenser for pharmacists.A patient's pills are put in this dispenser and then it gives out a tape with individual sealed packets that have pills inside with the date and time that each packet is to be opened and the pills inside are to be taken. It is much safer and more convenient for patients to use to take their medications. Pill Pack has sold very well to drug stores across Canada for the past two years. Recently Ideas noticed that there is a similar product now on the market called Pill Pal that works the same as their product but sells for 50% less. Pill Pal looks different on the outside but it is almost identical on the inside to Pill Pack and it packages and dates the pill packages the same way. Ideas contacted Creators Inc., the manufacturer of Pill Pal, and told Creators it had stolen their idea and name and Ideas will be taking them to court. Creators Inc. owner just laughed and said that it is a free country built on competition and they have done nothing wrong. Creators took out an ad in a pharmacy magazine druggists regularly read that stated "Pill Pal is the original product. Don't waste your money on an overpriced poor imitation." Ideas Inc. is furious about this advertisement also and has contacted its lawyer.
