For your selected case, (a) identify the internal control principles that are violated (refer specifically to one or more of the seven principles of internal control discussed on pp. 330-332 of your textbook); and (b) make clear and specific recommendations for how the company can improve its internal control procedures.

(A) Benedict Shales prides himself on hiring quality workers who require little supervision. As office manager, Benedict gives his employees full discretion over their tasks and for years has seen no reason to perform independent reviews of their work.
