If a researcher wished to study the effect of cognitive behavior therapy on young people diagnosed with depression, which test would he/she use: aztest, attest, or an ANOVA for the analysis?

I was thinking they could use any, but i dont know how many ppl they are using as a test group.

The young ppl can be broken into multi levels too.

Is depression the independent variable?
