If an unsecured loan agreement says nothing about whether a borrower may or may not cede or delegate (assign) it's rights and obligations to another person without a lender's consent, may the borrower, at a later date, cede or delegate (assign) it's rights and obligations to a guarantor? What if a guarantor wishes to "rescue" the borrower and nominates herself to draw up and sign a guarantee?
