If I was a CEO of my own company, I would allow the employees to use their cellphone and use their best judgement on things they post. There will be a policy enforced and signed by each employee. I would enforce a policy stating nothing should be harmful or inappropriate about the company or people in the company. Cellphones are to be used for communication between employees and management. If an employee is not to follow the policy, termination is a must. I as a CEO trust the employees with their cellphones and social media. Since this can affect the company in negative ways and the employee agreed by signing the policy during their hiring process. I believe firing an employee that failed to do their job and talks badly about the company or impacts the company in a negative manner should not be part of my company. Another policy I would put in effect is social media usage to be used only during breaks and downtime. During rush hours or deadlines is a no. I want my employees to like their job, and everyone has families so taking cellphones away or prohibiting them is unreal. According to medialeaders.com
