"If you can't describe what you are doing as a process, you don't know what you are doing". I am greatly fascinated by this, and as an engineer I couldn't agree more. I mentor young engineers in my team, sometimes trying to get them to do complex engineering studies without them knowing/understanding these concepts is very challenging. Before getting them to work on the studies, I usually have them read the concepts and try to explain as best as I can and encourage them to ask questions, so they have base understanding of the highly technical studies they are about to perform.
