This can be paraphrased as 'If you change the way you look at policy, the policies you look at change'. So the question is, has your thinking about policies as social instruments changed in your studies of microeconomics?

Reflect on how your thinking about the effect of policies has evolved.

Two sections to your response:

(i)Relate how the way you think about the effectiveness of policy has changed as a result of your learning. Think of any aspect that is relevant to you. For example, you may have realized that the use of a policy that may (or may not) be an effective way to bring about the intended change in your behaviour.(5 marks)

(ii)Next, specify what part(s) of your micro economical studies brought about this change in thinking on your part. Can you name any specific example pertaining to your own experiences where your thinking of policy and its effect has shaped your understanding? (6 marks)

Note: this is not about policy and how it is used in society, but about the way you think about it. How has your thinking evolved in relation to your own learning.
