If you do poorly on an exam or you have a low daily average, then you will pick an article that is related to the class (I will need to approve the article) and you will write a 5 page paper discussing the article. The paper will be worth up to 10 points on your mid-term exam grade. If you complete the paper in order to increase your daily grade average, it will increase 2 quiz grades to a 5 (10 points maximum). I will allow two bonus papers maximum during the semester. You must complete the paper within a week of it being assigned. This only applies to the mid-term exam or daily quizzes
