Re-arrange and rank the items on the list with the top ones being the one that would require the most money to have happen and the bottom ones being those that would require the least. If there are some that you would not do for any amount of money, put those at the top and write next to them "not at all."

• Have one upper front tooth pulled without anesthesia.
• Become unable to smell for the rest of your life.
• Become seriously mentally ill, requiring hospitalization each July.
• Spit on a picture of Charles Darwin.
• Eat a live, one-inch long beetle.

• Task: Engage in this well known exercise created by Edward Thorndike (1874 - 1949) who was an American Psychologist interested in the most effective ways to use rewards to influence behavior.
• Purpose:The purpose of this activity is to explore the power of conditioned reinforcers, and notice individual differences regarding the power of one very popular conditioned reinforcer: money.
