IGNITE, a student life group at a prominent college, is considering hiring McLelBan Consulting to conduct a whey geared towards evaluating the effects of mandatory remote learning on students during the wave of the comb-19 pandemic. The survey will be carried out by telephone interview. Due to the uniqueness of programs offered by the different faculties at the college, McLeIlan's survey design requires allocating different amounts of time per student interviewed in different faculties. The amount interview time required per student in each faculty is given in the following table: McLeIIan charges $3.50 per minute for interviews. IGNlTE's objective is to minimize interview costs (in dollars) and you have been tasked with formulating a linear programming model for the student body. DECISION VARIABLES DECISION VARIABLES Let T, B, H, A, M, S represent the number of students interviewed in Technology, Business, Health, Arts & Sciences, Media, and Social Services respectively. OBJECTIVE FUNCTION Type your objective function in the following box: Minimize Cost = (12%) CONSTRAINTS IGNITE requires that Mclellan satisfies the following constraints. Type each constraint in the box below it. C1: Interview no more than 43 students in Technology. (6%) C2: Interview a minimum of 45 Health students. (6%)Ca: Interview a maximum of 84 students in Business and Technology combined. (6%) C4: Interview at most 305 students in total. (6%) C : Interview at least twice as many Media students as Arts & Sciences students. (10%) The number of Business students interviewed should not exceed that of Co: Technology students by more than 8. (10%) The number of Social Services students interviewed should be at most 30% of all students interviewed. (10%) The total number of Media and Social Services students interviewed (combined) C's : should be minimum 25% of all students interviewed. (10%) Total interview time for Technology and Media students combined should be Co: minimum 2.25 hours.C7: The number of Social Services students interviewed should be at most 30% of all students interviewed. (10%) The total number of Media and Social Services students interviewed (combined) should be minimum 25% of all students interviewed. (10%) Co: Total interview time for Technology and Media students combined should be minimum 2.25 hours. (12% ) Total interview time for Arts & Sciences students should be at most 20% of the 10: interview time for Health and Social Services students combined. (12%) Since the project is still in deliberation stage, the constraints still need to be checked for internal consistency and revised if necessary. Therefore, a solution is not required at this point
