At my first job out of college the most difficult thing for me was writing emails to my superiors and clients. I had never been taught how to properly communicate in a business environment. I would spend over 30 minutes rereading emails before sending them worried that there was an error that I was unaware of. My hope is that these assignments give you the confidence to communicate effectively in your current or future careers. ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION For this assignment, pretend you work at a small retail Company. Your supervisor is looking to expand the accounting department (which you are a part of). The supervisor is not familiar with accounting and does not know if he or she should post an opening for a managerial or financial accountant. Your supervisor has sent an email to you asking for some key differences between a managerial and financial accountant. Please type up an email response to your supervisor that provides a short description of both a managerial and financial accountant. Also, highlight some of the key differences between the two so that your supervisor can determine the correct need for your company. The email does not have to be long but must explain the two topics mentioned previously in this paragraph. You can type up the email in a word document and upload the file here for submission when complete.
