My post

My impression on genetic testing is a good thing for discovery ancestors, in the process finding out about your family past. I want to try one to get to know my family history more. But then again, I wouldn't want to see it because it could show you that a disease is a family trait-liked diabetes or cancer. Perhaps show you that you have a half-sibling you didn't know about or that you were adopted.

I think there are a lot of decisive conditions about genetic testing. Such as helping you make decisions about starting a family of your own. And newborn babies can be screened for genetic disorders early in life. The negative aspect of genetic testing is the results can increase your stress and anxiety levels by 10x. It may impact your relationships with your family and personal relationship as well. It's pros and cons to genetic testing, but the choice is always yours to make. So if you want to take a genetic test to find out more about where your family originated from or how you got your last name. Learning about your family history is good because you can tell your kids where grandpa and grandma are from how they are 10% pirates.

How genetic testing works is the sample is sent to a laboratory where technicians look for specific changes in chromosomes, DNA, or proteins, depending on the suspected disorder. The laboratory reports the test results in writing to a person's doctor or genetic counselor, or directly to the patient if requested. If I could do a genetic test kit I would because it would allow me to see my family genetics and look into my own genetics and possibly find out where roughly where my ancestors came from. I also am just fascinated by DNA and genetics it's such a fascinating science topic.

One positive aspect of genetic testing is Test results can provide a sense of relief from uncertainty and help people make informed decisions about managing their health care. For example, a negative result can eliminate the need for unnecessary checkups and screening tests in some cases. A positive result can direct a person toward available prevention, monitoring, and treatment options.

One negative aspect of genetic testing is the emotional, social, or financial consequences of the test results. People may feel angry, depressed, anxious, or guilty about their results. In some cases, genetic testing creates tension within a family because the results can reveal information about other family members in addition to the person who is tested. The possibility of genetic discrimination in employment or insurance is also a concern.
