I'm doing research and I need to find out what type of data analysis technique I will use. The project is to find out if a controlled rest (in seat napping) is an appropriate procedure to reduce pilot fatigue. I am planning to use nominal data to find out who is answering a pilot or a copilot. Ordinal data to find out how they feel about implementing it in long-haul flights, questions will be: totally agree, agree, neutral, etc
But the professor just commented on a round table, about what I think about using interval scale data. I think it can provide me with more data but it doesn't fit the questions I will collect, since are not numeric. If I use the nominal and ordinal data I mentioned, I will use a content analysis using ANOVA right?
-Can I convert those ordinal data questions into intervals?
