Design a time sheet for keeping track of your time, breaking it down into increments of 6 minutes (1/10 hour), which is ey the standard legal billing practice. Track your time for eight hours of one weekday and note the start/stop time of each activity -- ie: leave for school at 5:00, arrive at 5:50, so that's 50 minutes, which gets rounded to 54, as that's the nearest 1/10 hour, so .9 hour; attend class from 6:00-7:31, so that's one hour, 31 minutes, which gets rounded to 1 ary & hour, 36 minutes, so 1.6 hours; buy groceries from 8:02-8:37, so that's 35 minutes, which gets rounded to 36, so .6 p hour, etc. At the end of the day, add up your time and see if it matches the number of standard 8 work hours or if it's more. Remember your time needs to be in increments of 6 minutes, ie: if you talk on the phone for 10 minutes, you bill for 12, because in legal billing you round up to the higher increment. That would be .2 of an hour. If you spend 45 minutes cooking dinner, that would be rounded to 48 minutes, so .8. Be sure to include the time you start a task, the actual amount of time you spend on the task, and then round the time to the nearest 6 minute increment. Add up all your time at the end of the day. NOTE: Do not use the time when you're sleeping. These need to cover the variety of activities that occur during a normal day. Turn in your time sheet for grading
