A Large MNC chemical manufacturing company headquartered in Germany has floated a RFP to implement digital banking services covering 1) Cash & Treasury management & 2) Supply Chain Financing. The company currently manages banking service manually sending physical paper to banks to process the transaction. The company is implementing SAP ERP & Treasury Management software system. The company has chosen a 3rd party Fintech platform to process Supply Chain Finance transaction whereas for Cash & Treasury, it will be using its own ERP & TMS system.
This is high-profile client and the revenue opportunity from this deal is estimated at 10 million USD per year. There are 6 countries in scope in Asia & 3 banks are competing for this business. The company has made it clear, best technology solution will win the deal (not the pricing etc.)
You have been appointed as the lead technical expert from the banks technology team. You are required to develop a digital banking solution and work with the Sales team during the RFP process with an aim to win the deal. You also need to make a technical presentation to customers IT department as part of the RFP process.
Scope of services are as follows.
Cash & Treasury Management:
- Staff salary payment for 12,.000 staff across all 6 countries
- Vendor payment up-to 3, 500 suppliers globally.
- Cash collection from distributors up-to 1,200 customers
- Tax & statutory payments
- Investing surplus cash on FX-Forward products
Supplier Financing:
- Supplier pre-payment
- Financing credit limit up-to 300 million USD
- Payment terms extended from 90 days to 120 days
- Approximately 1,900 suppliers in 20 countries globally
- Supplier payment will involve FX conversion
