There are 2 required parts to the project: 1. Target Audience worksheet 2. Customer Journey worksheet The target audience and customer journey build on your SMART Goal and KPIs. Review criteria You will be graded out of 10 points, with 5 points possible for the Target Audience persona and 5 points possible for the Customer Journey map, based on your completion of the specific requirements for each: Target Audience (2 pt) The target audience has a need(s) that the selected business directly serves. (1 pt) The submission lists key statistical data including age, gender, household income, education/occupation, and location. (1 pt) The submission includes at least 3 interests of the target audience that somehow relate to the selected business. (1 pt) The submission includes at least 3 behaviors related to the selected business which the target audience engages in regularly. Map your Customer's Journey (1 pt) The Awareness phase describes when the target audience is most receptive to the product. (1 pt) The Interest phase describes how products are related to the target audience's needs. (1 pt) The Desire phase demonstrates how the product fits into the target audience's life. (1 pt) The Conversion phase explains how to influence the target audience to take action. (1 pt) The Advocacy phase explains how the target audience will be made into an advocate for the business. Step-By-Step Assignment Instructions Base your target audience and customer journey for this project on the business description, SMART goal, and KPIs you developed. There is no one right answer on this project. Add context and think about what information would be most valuable to you as a marketer or business owner. Open the project worksheets: There are two options to access the Create a Customer Persona and Journey worksheets. To complete the project worksheets, follow the steps below: Step 1: Target Audience Define and create a customer persona for your target audience. The persona should describe a made up, composite person representing your target audience for the product or service being offered by the business you selected. Make sure you complete every part of the target audience template, including: serves? Needs: What is your target audience's need or needs that your selected business directly Demographics: What key statistical data describes your target audience including, age, gender, household income, education/occupation, and location? Interests: What interests do your target audience share that could potentially relate to your business in some way? Behaviors: What behaviors does your target audience engage in on a regular basis that your selected business can use to reach out or that relates to the business product or service? Step 2: Map your customer's journey . Develop a customer journey map including all 5 phases answering each of the questions provided in the directions: Awareness: When is my target audience most receptive?. Interest: How can I relate my products to my target's needs? Desire: How can I show my target my product really fits in their life? Conversion: How can I get my target to take action? Advocacy: How can I make my target into an advocate?
