Imagine a scenario of having inherited a "problem property." It has been left for some time without maintenance and, as a result, it is no longer suitable (as is) for keeping horses. However, they the financial means to revitalize the property and bring it up to high, evidence-based standards. The soil testing results indicates that the NPK is 2-35-43. Management must create an environment that is friendly to the horses, and to the grass that grows to feed those horses. They must account for how the processes of keeping and maintaining the pasture - horses eating and walking and defecating on the grass, watering the grass, weeding and applying chemicals to the grass, heavy equipment on the grass, etc. - will shift the NPK over time.

Write a detailed proposal that addresses the following:

• The pasture grass(es) chosen to grow.
  • Will they plot multiple grasses (timothy, orchard, or winter wheat) in different traps (pastures)?
  • What type of seeds will they use, and how does that affect other choices?
    • GMO?
    • Non-GMO?
  • What do they have to do to balance the NPK and maintain the pastures? Control weeds?
    • Will they use fertilizers? Chemicals? How will they water?
  • What machinery and other equipment/implements will they need to maintain the pasture?
    • What effect might that equipment have on the pasture?
  • What kind of horses, and how many, will this pasture maintain?
  • When, and how often, will they retest the NPK? Include a plan for addressing nutritional imbalances as they arise.
