Imagine that we set a target of ensuring more households build a disaster supply kit and stockpile extra stored food and water for a disaster or other emergency situation. We do that by: 1) showing them how other households like theirs have been successful in making preparations; 2) building their confidence to assemble supply kits and store these supplies; 3) educating them about all the benefits that can happen for households that prepare for disasters; and 4) helping to make it easier for them to prepare for disasters by making some changes to the context/environment in which these households live
