Imagine that you have recently been appointed Product Manager and have to lead a new team comprising of the following professionals: design engineer, cost accountant, marketing specialist, sales executive, production engineer, HR manager and a supply-chain expert. These team members have been transferred from their respective departments to work with you. Your team has to design, develop, test market, manufacture and launch a new product. After launching this product, the management will be assigning you other new product development projects and your team will be part of the permanent organizational structure of the company.
