Charlotte is a clinical mental health counselor. She lives in a rural community and practices at a small community agency in her town. Her agency draws clients from multiple nearby communities because it is the only agency within 60 miles that offers services for children. Charlotte is one of three counselors at the agency, and she is the only one who sees children. The other two have different specialties, but neither has any experience working with kids. Charlotte is married with two children. Her son is in a third-grade class with Isaac, who has some behavioral issues. Isaac's mother knows Charlotte is a counselor, and she asks Charlotte to begin seeing Isaac.
