In 1713, a letter credited to Charles Waldegrave broke down a game called "le Her". He was a functioning Jacobite and uncle to James Waldegrave, a British diplomat. [2][3] In this letter, Waldegrave gave a minimax blended methodology answer for a two-man variant of the game le Her, and the issue is currently known as Waldegrave issue.
